With the Mega Rig Pirates Ship, living rooms, backyards, and bathtubs all become places pirate adventures. The different ship components are made from durable plastic, which holds up to playtime on land or water. Built with Styrofoam inside, the base of each ship will float, and with built-in yellow wheels, can also roll along the ground. Smaller pieces, like the treasure chests, have rounded snap bottoms that easily and firmly connect to other building components. I know the important thing is that my 5-going-on-6 year old loves this Pirate Ship. But I am so sick of playing Pirate that I can't wait for him to move on to something else!
I am actually thrilled that he loves this toy so much, as is the relative that bought it for him months ago (and paid, gasp, full price!!), and I have to say that I was against getting it because I thought he'd play with it a few times and then set it aside. Instead, he wants to play with it several times a week, re-enacting Pirate battles and Octopus takeovers, both in and out of the tub. While he does play with it on his own some, he enjoys it a lot more with someone else to play Good Pirate while he plays Bad Pirate.
It is really durable, goes in and out of the tub with ease, and has so many configurations it really does keep your imagination going.

My 3 year old son really enjoys this toy when he takes a bath. It does take up a bit of room in the tub so sometimes I only put a few pieces in at a time. The Octopus is great because it squirts water and has suction cups on the tenticles so I can hang it on the tub wall when my son is finished. There is a small compartment under the ships steering wheel that I can place the pirates and treasure chest in. It keeps my son entertained while I wash him.

What a great toy! My 4 1/2-year-old son has played with it consistently since Christmas! He also received the pirate's lair and loves mixing and matching the pieces. MATCHBOX Mega Rig Pirates Lair He plays with it both in and out of the tub. The figures are a little small (one of the pirates disappeared within the first week). Overall, he and his sister love playing with it.

Bought this on a whim for my six year old nephew for Christmas. Easy to put together. The octopus is really cool - it squirts water - and the ship floats, so the toy is perfect for playing with in the bathtub. Basically, my nephew couldn't stop playing with it. A REALLY good deal.
