My son is 9 and really likes the carrying case. The one we received was blue and not black but that was fine with him. It seems to be quite durable.

This case is ONLY good for the flat matchbox toys. I had purchased it hoping to put my son's matchbox, hot wheels, and other similar cars in it. The slots are too small for almost all of his cars. It has a larger slot in the middle that I can use but it only holds 1 car/truck, so essentially I can only put 4 of his cars in the box. I guess the clear plastic box will be coming out as this isn't worth anything. Save your money if you don't have JUST the small flat hot wheels toys.

You're going to need this if you buy hot wheels. This is a convenient way to store and carry hot wheels. My 2 1/2 year old gets excited every time he opens the case and sees the numerous cars inside. It should be noted that the case can potentially hold more than 48 cars if you have some of the slender hot wheels because they can be doubled up in the slots, which is especially important to me because my husband has a bad hot wheels shopping habit. :)

My 2 year old son loves this car case. I like how the cars go into the slots vertically instead of horizontally. He loves to help pick up his cars now because he can put them into his case.
